Creating Islington Young Leaders Programme

Islington Young Leaders Programme (IYL) will launch in early 2023 and will provide young people with training and support relevant to their leadership ambitions. The IYL Programme will be coproduced by young people and youth workers from Islington.

When and How?

a series of four one hour focus groups (with a short break in the middle)

They will be in-person meetings.

There will also be some tasks to complete outside of these meetings, mainly gathering ideas from peers and conducting quick surveys.

What and Where?

The focus groups will help us understand what the IYL needs to deliver and establish the priorities for the new programme, specifically:
● How will the programme support young people wanting to become youth workers?
● What training is essential for a young leader?
● How will the IYL support young people’s career prospects?
