To mark the 10th anniversary milestone, Mary's is sharing 10 stories and memories of its staff, trustees, and services users throughout the years. #Marys10

Ruth Ogier, Mary's Trustee

I became involved with Mary's as a trustee in 2008, just before the charity was officially launched. I was a member of St Mary's Church for some years before this, and got involved in Mary's because I wanted to be part of the church's long history of youth and community work.

As a trustee I became aware of the hundreds of young people, families and people who through either the youth club, pre-school or many self-help and community groups came through the neighbourhood centre or crypt rooms each week. Ten years later I continue to be amazed, inspired and proud to be part of Mary's and all the staff, volunteers, young people, families and community groups who are touching and improving the lives of so many people.

Read about more of the people who have helped build Mary's into the organisation it is today. Celebrate with us as we discover where they are now and what they gained during their time at Mary's.
