Play scheme

The words ‘school holidays’ can fill many parents with dread – especially if they are working. But these are times that children should look forward to as a period when they can draw breath and take a break from the often very competitive academic life they face at school and ‘just’ play.

Play is not merely an entertaining way of passing the time; it has an important role to play in the physical and cognitive development of children, as well as contributing to their social skills.  It requires planning and effort.

Mary’s Play Schemes provide children with an action-packed, stimulating, and enjoyable time during school holidays and provide parents with peace of mind.

To achieve this, our Play Schemes programmes have been developed to:

  • Provide a safe environment for children aged 6 to 12 over the half terms, Easter and summer holidays
  • Encourage each child’s curiosity and creativity in a stimulating environment
  • Offer a mix of activities and outings that are educational as well as fun
  • Provide an opportunity for children to make friends

Parents know that their child is safe with us and that they can depend on us during the holidays.

Mary’s Play Scheme was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted at its last inspection in November 2017.
