We work to broaden young people’s horizons, providing them with lifelong skills and confidence to build a better future.
Mary’s Youth Club has been a second home to many young people, and our alums inspire other young people in the borough.
Victoria attended Mary’s for around five years. She participated in many activities and liked organising and running projects. With the support of the Youth Club, she was awarded funding from the ‘O2 Think Big Funding’ to run a conference named “She Who Leads”—aimed at inspiring and empowering her peers to achieve their ambitions. The event successfully attracted over 100 young people and a range of Doctors, lawyers, and YouTube Bloggers.
Victoria then received a Youth Catalyst Fund bursary, a small grant administered by Mary’s and funded by Islington Giving. This grant contributed to her essential resources for her second year at University studying Business Management.
With Mary’s support, Victoria joined the ‘Dare London’ Youth Advisory board with London Youth, where she further developed her leadership skills.
Today Victoria is an inspiring CEO working with +1500 young women across the UK and helping organisations understand how to attract, train and develop their talents.
Victoria founded her recruitment company that provides candidates for organisations that look for more diverse women in their workforce. She aims to provide opportunities for young women from disadvantaged backgrounds to succeed, through opportunities with industry professionals.
She has been featured in publications including the BBC, The Sunday Times, Guardian & The Daily Mail and has been recognised with several social mobility awards
We are proud of Victoria; we would like to continue supporting young people while helping them discover their talents, develop their skills, and provide them with connections and opportunities.
