Aston Wood

Chair
Aston previously worked at Mary's for seven years as the Youth Development Manager and briefly CEO. Before then did youth work in a number of settings working both locally and nationally. He is Head of Youth Work at Captiva Learning, leading the largest Youth Work Degree Apprenticeship in the UK

Aysha Sheridan

Trustee
Aysha has a varied background including time spent living overseas, aviation, hospitality and over sixteen years’ experience working in a FTSE 100 property company. She is passionate about her local community having moved to Islington when she was four years old and is an active member of St Mary's Church. Aysha is also a mother, avid traveller and true advocate for diversity, equality and inclusion.

Ian Mylam

Trustee
Ian is a retired shipbroker and Lay Minister at St Mary’s Church. He has had a long involvement with the Youth Club and ran the football and cricket teams in 1980s/1990s. Nowadays he loves trekking in mountains at home and abroad and swimming in wild waters. He is active in his role as trustee in fundraising, supporting the Duke of Edinburgh's Award expeditions and as the trustee lead on safeguarding.

Jonathan Elmer

Treasurer
Jonathan has worked in range of financial and general management roles in the UK & Switzerland. Since retiring, he has made his home in Islington and is a committed member of the Marys Trustee Board.

Naeman Symonds-Baeg

Trustee
Naeman works his magic at London & Partners, managing key partnerships that support growth in the City of London. Naeman is passionate about providing opportunities to young people and wants to support Mary’s fundraising. He has 3 daughters and is a big Southampton FC fan.

Alan is a commercial lawyer with 20 years experience working in both private practice and in-house. He lives in Islington and is a long-term member of St Mary’s Church.
