Description

‘The Rainbow Squad’ is a Zine authored by young people aged 12-19 as part of The Mix, a youth club session for young people aged 12-19.

It contains their writing, photos, art, thoughts, and inspirations.

These sessions were run in partnership with Whittington Park Community Centre, made possible with funding from Islington Council as part of the Local Youth Transformation Pilot.

What is The Mix?

The Mix is an LGBTQIA+ group run by Mary’s Youth Club and Whittington Park Community Association.

Over the last few weeks young people have been creating art work and producing pieces of writing to include in this Zine.

The Mix is LGBTQIA+ friendly but Allies are also welcome to join.

The group gives young people a safe space where we not only produced art, but also learned some history about the LGBTQIA+ community.
