  1. Our services

Youth Club

Mary’s Youth Club welcomes young people aged between 10 – 19, offering a friendly, open youth club with opportunities to share, grow, learn and enjoy.

During these weird times, we are running a revised programme. All our activities must be booked in advanced, it's really easy.

For information on any of these programmes or just for a chat. Get in contact with Sally and Aston

on 07816 073 016 (call, txt or WhatsApp) or through the socials (Instagram and Twitter)

Usually, programmes would run Monday to Thursday, with most activity taking place on-site and satellite sessions delivered with our partners. Young people can hang out in the centre with computers (including internet access), games consoles, table tennis and comfy sofas. We also have a sports hall with basketball, a gym, dance studio, kitchen and classroom. Members can organise their own activities or join in with whatever’s happening in our weekly programmes.

Mary’s is run by our youth members with support from qualified, experienced and enthusiastic youth workers, trainee youth workers and volunteers. It’s free to join and take part and registration can be done whenever the youth club is open. Explore the website to find out more about us, the programme and how you can support our work.

Tell me more!

Being better connected improves the prospects of disadvantaged young people, brings greater opportunities and sets up young people for lifelong fulfillment.

Mary’s Youth Club helps young people to be better connected and better equipped with the skills and confidence to form and engage with supportive networks of friends and family, health and social services, businesses and organisations.

Our members want to be better connected to and have a stake in the world around them. Our programme helps young people:

  • Increase their confidence in communicating in a range of different settings.
  • Increase their resourcefulness and initiative in the face of challenges.
  • To further develop good judgement, consider risks, and make reasoned decisions.
  • Have greater agency, influence, responsibility and leadership.

We have a balanced programme of activities and provide a safe, welcoming place for young people to make friends and try new things. Like learning how to cook great meals for less than a takeaway, maintaining a bike for cheap and easy transport or how to access health services and when they might have to.

I didn’t really have any confidence before I started coming to Mary’s - Youth member

Many young people feel they lack the confidence and skills they need for life beyond education, even for those who are doing well academically. We understand this and prepare young people like Sarah to be better connected with the world around them.

Better Connected

Youth Services have declined over the last decade with many centres closing and the loss of many committed workers and volunteers. Young people need your support to safeguard Mary’s Youth Club and ensure that the support and opportunity we provide remains available for those who need it.

We welcome donations to help continue our work and there are lots of ways to get involved.
